The Saus Welcomes When Simon Met Ralph to Marinship Studios

Saturday at Marinship Studios, print-maker Simon Ungless hosted an intimate conversation with style writer Gail Goldberg, reflecting on his work with the late Alexander McQueen, and his recent creative partnership with Angelina Jolie.

Ungless' label, When Simon Met Ralph, WSMR, focuses on giving new life to pre-loved apparel and textiles. Embracing a sustainable philosophy, WSMR, repurposes vintage, deadstock, and discarded garments. Ungless breathes new life into each piece by infusing them with modern edge, keeping clothes out of landfills. "There are already enough clothes in the world," he said Saturday.

With 35 years spent working in the industry, Ungless’ work spans fashion and textile design, forecasting, brand development, marketing, show production and publishing for Tory Burch, Givenchy, Paul Smith, Versace, The Burton Group, Nigel French, Selfridges, Nike, Levis and Calvin Klein among others.
